Moderator Biography
Dr. Justin G. Bull, BA’05, PhD’15
Dr. Justin Bull is the Academic Director of the Centre for Climate and Business Solutions at the UBC Sauder School of Business. He also leads the Master of Engineering Leadership and Master of Health Leadership and Policy in the UBC Faculty of Applied Science. He focuses on economic reconciliation, and he is a committed board member supporting the Tla’amin Nation and Nak’azdli First Nation with their economic development strategies. He volunteers as a lead moderator with Creative Destruction Lab and as advisor to the non-profit AdvantageBC. He earned a BA in International Relations (2005) and a PhD in Wood Science (2015) from UBC.

Jennifer Fang, MBA’96
Jennifer Fang is a corporate director and investment professional with 30 years of cross-border investment experience at multinational corporations in New York and Toronto. She is a Faculty Advisory Board member at the UBC Sauder School of Business, serves on the boards of Ontario Securities Commission and Alectra Inc., previously held board positions for a TSX–listed mining company, and is a past board director at Providence Healthcare Foundation. She holds an MBA in Finance from UBC, is a CFA charter-holder, maintains the ICD.D designation, and completed the ESG Investing certification at the CFA Institute and the Diversity and Inclusion program at Cornell University.
Dr. Henry Siu, BA’96
Dr. Henry Siu is a professor at UBC’s Vancouver School of Economics and a Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER. He is a member of the Canadian Macroeconomics Study Group (CMSG) Secretariat; the Canadian Economics Association Board of Directors; and the Labour Market Information Council Experts Panel; and is the Academic Director of the Centre for Innovative Data in Economics Research (CIDER). He researches macroeconomics and labour economics, with a focus on automation and the decline of middle-class jobs, recessions and jobless recoveries, and youth unemployment. He was the first recipient of the Bank of Canada Governor’s Award.
