Moderator Biography
Parthivi Koganti
Growing up in culturally rich locations, Parthivi Koganti learned to value the stories of others and to foster genuine connections. This appreciation led her to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce at UBC Sauder School of Business — she is currently a first-year student and will graduate in 2028. To further enhance her education, she has become involved in UBC campus life, including serving as the First Year Representative for UBC Student Alumni Council’s Career Development Committee. Beyond her academic and volunteer work, she can be found playing sports or watching the latest box office hit.

Bahar Moussavi, BSc’20, MEd’22
Bahar Moussavi is the Founder and Executive Director of the C.O.D.E. Initiative Foundation, a registered non-profit dedicated to empowering students from underrepresented communities through affordable, inclusive, and tailored STEAM and coding programs. She balances her leadership role at C.O.D.E. with her work as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst. She is an award-winning entrepreneur, researcher, and TEDx speaker, recognized for her innovative and impactful contributions. She has been recognized as one of BC Business‘ 30 Under 30 and a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award, and she holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from UBC.
Shannon Salter, BA’01, LLB’05, LLM
Shannon Salter is the Deputy Minister to the Premier, Head of the BC Public Service, and Cabinet Secretary in British Columbia. Her career includes previous roles as the Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Minister Responsible for Housing, Civil Resolution Tribunal chair, a BC Supreme Court judicial law clerk, practicing lawyer, the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal vice chair, and a Law Society of BC disciplinary panel member. She is a National Centre for Technology and Dispute Resolution fellow and a Victoria University (Melbourne) visiting professor, and was an Allard School of Law (UBC) adjunct professor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from UBC and a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto.
