Aunt Leah’s Place helps children in foster care avoid homelessness and empowers young mothers in need to keep custody of their children by providing supported housing, education, employment training, and life skills coaching. Stand alongside your fellow UBC alumni and make a powerful and positive difference impact upon our community this holiday season!

Additional considerations

  • Alumni can sign up for one out of three shifts at the times listed above. Shifts are four hours long each.
  • Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Maximum of one guest per alum. Guests must be at least 14 years old to participate. An adult must accompany those under 16 year of age.
  • Tasks include physical work such as trimming and carrying trees, managing cash, helping customers, and more.  
  • Although a tent will provide shelter, the lot is outdoors. Please dress accordingly for the weather.

THE A PROJECT is alumni UBC’s volunteer program focused on bringing our alumni community together to support community organizations. Through virtual, individual, and group volunteer opportunities we aim to support community organizations focused on protecting the environment, food security, and access to education and resources.
