Host Biography
David Peng
David Peng is a writer, adventurous foodie, digital creator, and principal editor of Vancouver Foodie Pulse who goes by @PickyDiner on social media platforms. Originally from Guangzhou, China’s Cantonese culinary hub, he studied computer science at UBC and became a software engineer — yet his love for good food remained constant. In 2013, he launched Pickydiners.com to share his gastronomic experiences online, and he created Vancouver Gourmet Tours in 2019. During the pandemic, he provided PR marketing services, spotlighting regional Chinese and Asian food and beverage concepts. While he deeply appreciates global cuisines, Cantonese cuisine remains close to his heart. Over time, he has also cultivated an appreciation for the rich diversity of regional Chinese cuisines.
