Moderator Biography
Kookai Chaimahawong, MBA’19
Kookai Chaimahawong is recognized for her leadership in advancing business innovation for sustainability. The Executive Director of the Centre for Climate and Business Solutions at the UBC Sauder School of Business, she has expertise in sustainable business practices, impact investing, ESG strategy, and climate innovation. She is a member of the ESG Advisory Council of the ESG Centre of Excellence within the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development, and Innovation (JEDI) for the Province of British Columbia and is a Vancouver Entrepreneurs Forum board member. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Chulalongkorn University and an MBA from the UBC Sauder School of Business.

Sarah Chapman
As Manulife’s Global Chief Sustainability Officer, Sarah Chapman is responsible for leading the ongoing development and execution of Manulife’s sustainability, community investment, and sponsorship strategy, and oversees Manulife’s environmental, social & governance (ESG) reporting and disclosures.
As Manulife’s Chief Marketing Officer, she is responsible for marketing strategy, brand management, innovation, digital, and analytics for Manulife’s Global Wealth and Asset Management business. She has a Bachelor of Science from Western University (Canada), a Master’s degree in Management from Bond University, and a PhD in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability from the Centre for Corporate Governance at the University of Technology, Sydney (Australia).
