Engineering Design Teams
Experience the excitement of Engineering Design Teams in action! Design teams create opportunities for students to apply theory in real projects, build skills, gain industry exposure, and compete globally in engineering design challenges. These teams compete in regional, national, and international competitions, working on everything from autonomous vehicles and robotics to sustainable energy solutions and aerospace engineering. Building a Formula racecar from scratch, designing an underwater autonomous vehicle, and blasting a rocket 14,000 ft are just a sample of the amazing challenges the Engineering Design Teams complete in!
Stop by the EME foyer to meet the teams, snap photos with rockets, robots, a racecar, try the racecar simulator, and more!

This annual exhibition and speaker series features the artwork of select Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies faculty and staff. The 2025 exhibition will showcase the works of instructors Katherine Pickering (BFA’06), Andreas Rutkauskas, David Doody (BFA’08), Jorden Doody (BFA’08, MFA’20), Miles Thorogood, Samuel Roy-Bois, and Tania Willard (MFA’18). Katherine Pickering will offer a brief talk about her work at the opening reception.

Okanagan School of Education: Indigenous Flora Walking Tour

Meet at the Story Poles in the Central Courtyard at 1:00pm to participate in this land-based learning activity. Dr. Robert Campbell will guide you in identifying and locating Indigenous flora. During this one-hour walking tour, connect with nature and learn more about Indigenous Okanagan species found on the UBCO campus.
Okanagan Special Collections and Archives

The Okanagan Special Collections and Archives collects and stewards materials which document the history and character of the Okanagan, surrounding regions, and the UBCO campus. This includes UBCO campus history, environment, agriculture, arts and culture, the BC wine industry, and Indigenous knowledge.
Come visit us to get unique hands-on experience with archival materials that represent these collecting goals! Flip through the very first UBCO course catalogue, see how we make archival materials accessible online and work with community partners though the BC Regional Digitized History platform, and peruse important items which demonstrate how our collections are built by and represent both the University and wider community.
